Vanpooling Program

Are gas prices putting a hurting on your finances? Do you want to try the HOV lanes? Join Full Access Solutions in Transportation’s (FAST) Vanpool Program now to earn incentives and benefits for sharing a ride to work!

All you have to do is meet the following eligibility requirements …

  • Complete a FAST Vanpool Program Application with at least six (6) additional Vanpool Riders signed up, for a total of 7 Vanpool Riders. Application must be approved by FAST for acceptance into the program.

  • Read and Accept the Program Terms and Conditions and maintain the Monthly Vanpool Log.


    Do you want to vanpool but don’t know where to find riders or a group?

  • Go to Commuter Connection’s website and fill out the rideshare registration form under “Carpool” or just call them at 800.745.RIDE to get help finding riders and groups

  • Go to www.avego.com for more information on carpooling/vanpooling and real-time ridesharing.

  • You can also contact FAST at 240.450-5779 to find out which existing FAST Vanpools are in your area and accepting riders and to find out tips and tricks to starting up a vanpool or joining one.


    Participants may be eligible for the following:

  • $200 gas card/quarter for the Carpool Captain
  • Reduced garage parking fees
  • Rewards through www.nuride.com

    Vanpool Plus

    By joining our vanpool program, you could win a limo trip to and from work! Here are the rules:
    1. The “Vanpool Plus” must consist of 10+ people at all times and must operate and maintain vanpool logs for an entire year before winning the grand prize.
    2. At least one person in the van must be an employee of Potomac Yard
    3. Alcohol will not be provided on the outbound trip (to work)
    4. All passengers must sign a waiver of liability and indemnification form.
    5. All passengers must agree on the day they wish to take their limousine ride.
    6. Only routine passengers of the vanpool will be permitted to ride in the limousine.
    7. The “Vanpool Plus” is also eligible to receive quarterly gas cards in accordance with our carpool/vanpool program.
